Naturally resistant to rot, decay, and insects, Western Red Cedar is low-maintenance and ages beautifully, especially when treated with a protective OSMO stain to maintain its rich colour and prevent weathering. With minimal knots and a smooth finish, this cedar profile provides a clean, uniform appearance that complements both contemporary and traditional spaces. Sustainably harvested and easy to install, Western Red Cedar Shadow Gap is perfect for those seeking a high-quality, eco-friendly timber solution.

Board Run

It's important to tell us which way your cladding will be running as depending on the desired orientation of your cladding, the timber needs to be cut differently.

Vertical run cladding naturally channels water downwards, however if cut incorrectly horizontal profile boards may trap water inside the shadow gaps, making it more susceptible to weather-related issues like rot. To combat this, horizontal boards are cut with a slight angle in the gaps to help the water run off, while vertical boards retain a nice crisp edge.
